Wayne Cunningham

Wayne R. Cunningham, 95, of McPherson, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. He was a retired meter reader for McPherson Board of Public Utilities.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church. Military Honors will be conducted by members of V.F.W. Post #2715 and American Legion Post #24. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include: his wife, Vermoyne of the home; a sister, Opal Phillippi of Wichita; daughter-in-law, Liz Cunningham of McPherson; four grandchildren, Tammy Wann of McPherson, Bryon Cunningham of Cedar Park, TX, Cristy Cunningham of Waco, TX, and Sharon Vickerson of Tuscaloosa, AL; seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne C. "Buster" Cunningham and Gary Cunningham, a brother, Clifford Cunningham, and a great-granddaughter, Karlie Odum.
