Wallace Elder

Wallace E. "Slim" Elder, 77, of McPherson, died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. He was retired from Swick-Guth Inc., where he had worked as a machinist and from McPherson Fire Department, where he worked as a custodian.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 18, at the Grace Bible Church in McPherson. Burial will be in the Canton Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will be present from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.

Survivors include: wife, Bonnie of the home; two sons, Murray of Houston, TX and Kenny of Salina, KS; three daughters, Connie Burger of Larned, KS, Belinda Fouse of Manhattan, KS, and Cindy Stinson of Lubbock, TX; a brother, Roscoe of Coffeyville, KS; a sister, Pauline Henry of Hastings, NE; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Chester, and a sister, Cleta.
