Virgil Chapman

Virgil C. Chapman, 88, died Monday, June 6, 2005, at his home in McPherson. He was a retired truck driver for Farmland Industries and had also owned and operated C & L Mattress and Upholstery Company.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 10, at the First Baptist Church, McPherson. Inurnment will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: his wife, Rozella of the home; two sons, Arthur Chapman of McPherson and Kenneth Chapman of Colorado Springs, CO; a daughter, Linda Johnson of McPherson; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
