Travis Gary Meads, 37, of McPherson, KS, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
He was born on May 18, 1988, in Salt Lake City, UT, the son of Kevin K. and Linda L. (Baumann) Meads. Travis graduated from Prairie View High School in LaCygne, Kansas.
He worked as a tow truck driver for Dacus Auto Body and was employed as a welder and truck driver for Wabtec.
Travis had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time riding his ATV, camping, and snowboardng. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing baseball and football, and shared a special bond with his dogs.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Linda Meads of Humble, TX; his brother, Kevin Trenton Meads of Humble, TX; loving aunts, uncles, cousins & extended relatives; and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gary and Bonnie Meads and Donald and Myrna Baumann, and by an uncle, Russel Baumann.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, November 3, 2025, at Freedom Chapel, 1064 14th Avenue, McPherson, KS, with Pastor Rustan Foster officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Freedom Chapel or STEPMC (Steps To End Poverty of McPherson County), in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the STEPMC staff and team and the Oxford House for the care and support given to Travis.
