Thomas Grant Anderson, Sr., 90, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, surrounded by family at Good Samaritan Society-Hutchinson Village.

Tom was born on November 8, 1935, in Cushing, Oklahoma, the son of Harold and Wanda (Holland) Anderson. He attended Mulvane (KS) High School and finished his senior year at a high school in California. Following graduation, he attended Southwest Baptist University in Springfield, MO. Prior to marrying Sherry Lynn (Hein) Zink on November 19, 1993, in Miami, OK, he was married to Betty Marie Raida and Betty Jean Anderson.

He owned & operated five restaurants in Oklahoma City, OK, was a uniform salesman for Centos, was General Manager for Lance Crackers, worked in sales at Advance Industries (Wichita, KS), and was a salesman for Tom’s Peanuts (Colorado). Following retirement, he joined Argus Event Staffing Group out of Denver, CO.

Tom was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, McPherson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Anderson of McPherson, KS; a daughter, Wanda Sue Anderson of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Tommy Glen Anderson of Topeka, KS and Kevin Dale Anderson of Ponca City, OK; step-son, James (Theresa) Zink of Blackwell, OK; step-daughter, Charity Zink of Aurora, CO; step-sister, Kathy (Donnie) Sanderson of Preston, ID; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many extended relatives and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Anderson; mother, Wanda Anderson Webb; a daughter, Charlotte Maxine Anderson; and two sons, Christopher Dale Anderson and Richard Vernon Anderson.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 4, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church (McPherson, KS) with Pastor Dan Cate officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday at the church. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, September 4, at the Mulvane Cemetery (Mulvane, KS).

Memorial donations can be payable to Calvary Baptist Church or Community Care Hospice in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
