Terry Lee Brasher, 74, of Galva, KS, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, surrounded by family at McPherson Health & Rehab.
Terry was born on October 31, 1951, in Aransas Pass, Texas, the son of James Lonnie and Betty Bernice (Sirratt) Brasher. He graduated from Aransas Pass High School. On March 16, 2001, Terry was united in marriage to Nancy Ilene (Thompson) Pierce in Galva, KS.
He worked in the oil fields in Texas and overseas. Over the years, he built a strong reputation as a skilled mechanic. He owned and operated Texaco service stations in Aransas Pass and Rockport, where he was known for this hard work and dedication to his customers. Later, he served as a service technician at Becker Tire and Walmart in McPherson, continuing to share his mechanical expertise and dependable work ethic.
Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy of the home; four children, Michelle Beaven-Benedict (Bobbi) of Clark, MO, Marsha Lanning (Scot Schiller) of Rockport, TX, Justin Brasher of Milford, KS, and Elizabeth Schroeder (Tyler) of Enid, OK; a sister, Synthia Hinojosa of Rockport, TX; five grandchildren, Travis O’Bryan, Zachary Tabor, Brendon Brasher, Kaylee Schiller, and David Brasher; six great-grandchildren; and many extended relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry Brasher and James Brasher.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson, with Chaplain John Hull officiating. A visitation and viewing will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, February 27, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Prairie Grove Cemetery near Lake Road in Cottonwood Falls, KS.
