Theodore “Ted” Clinton Schletzbaum, 86, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2021, with family by his side at McPherson Hospital. He retired from NCRA Refinery and also was a photographer.
Ted was born on February 7, 1934, in McPherson, KS, the son of Fayne Edsil and Elsie Alberta (Ring) Schletzbaum. He graduated from McPherson High School in 1952. On May 13, 1955, Ted was united in marriage to Genevieve L. Bradley in McPherson, KS.
He served in the National Guard and attended King’s Hiway Baptist Church, McPherson.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 65 years, Genevieve; a brother, Robert Schletzbaum of McPherson, KS; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ross and Jack who gave their lives in the service of their country during WWII.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, February 12, 2021, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 13, at King’s Hiway Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Talbert officiating. Burial will follow at Monitor Church Cemetery, Conway.
