Scott Schoonover

Scott E. Schoonover, 45, of El Dorado and formerly of McPherson, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2010, in El Dorado, Kansas. Scott was born on April 26, 1964, in Pratt, Kansas, the son of LeRoy Ellis and Sherlene Mae (Walker) Schoonover. He worked as a carpenter for Stewart & Ediger Construction and for Nick Vontz Construction, both of McPherson.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Inurnment of the cremains will take place at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt, Kansas.

Survivors include: his mother, Sherlene M. Schoonover of McPherson, KS; daughter, Amber of El Dorado, KS; and former wife & friend, Deborah Blake of El Dorado, KS. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy, and a brother, Rodney.
