Roger VanMeter was born on February 26, 1954, to Raymond and Leona VanMeter. He died Friday, June 12, 2026.
He is survived by wife, Joni of the home; son, Ryan (Tarek Makati) of Astoria, New York; daughter, Lisa (John Shields) of Naperville, Illinois; grandson, William Shields of Naperville, Illinois; and brother, Gene (Marcia) of McPherson, Kansas.
A private family committal of cremains will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be payable to the McPherson County Food Bank or City Harvest (New York City) in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
