Rick L. Schulz, 64, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. He was the co-owner and President of Specialty Technology, Inc. in McPherson.
Rick was born on July 15, 1956, in McPherson, KS, the son of Richard G. and Virginia Ruby (Winter) Schulz. He graduated from McPherson High School in 1974. On June 27, 1981, Rick was united in marriage to Kathy D. Catton in McPherson, KS. This union was blessed with three sons, Michael, Mark, and Dustin.
He attended Countryside Covenant Church and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.
His survivors include: his loving wife, Kathy of the home; three sons, Michael Schulz and wife, Emilie, Mark Schulz, and Dustin Schulz, all of McPherson, KS; two brothers, Doug Schulz and wife, Gail, and Stan Schulz and wife, Kathy, all of McPherson, KS; three grandchildren, Payten Schulz, Tatem Schulz, and Presley Schulz; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Debra Williams.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 8, at Countryside Covenant Church with Rev. Jon Black officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
