Rebecca “Becky” Nicole Fulcher, 21, of McPherson and Wichita; passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in an automobile accident near Red Rock, Oklahoma. She was a third-year student at Wichita State University and was majoring in communications.
She was born Dec. 21, 1995, in McPherson, the daughter of John B. and Amy R. (Miller) Fulcher. She attended the local McPherson Schools and graduated from McPherson High School in 2014. At Wichita State University, Becky was active in the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and had recently become active in campus politics.
Becky was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at a young age and later became a passionate sponsor and ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and was anticipating a trip to Washington, DC to represent the state of Kansas at a national conference.
Survivors include: her mother, Amy Fulcher of McPherson; father, John Fulcher (Andrea) of Wichita; a brother, Ryan Fulcher of Hutchinson; grandparents; Gerald and Barbara Miller of McPherson, James Fulcher (Pauline) of Columbia, MS, and Virginia Fulcher of Lumberton, MS.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Countryside Covenant Church, 940 E. Northview Road, McPherson. Inurnment will follow in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
