Marilyn L. Holler

May 13, 1942 — March 28, 2026

McPherson, KS

Marilyn L. Holler, 83, of McPherson, Kansas, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, surrounded by her family at Legend Senior Living in Hutchinson. She courageously faced a long battle with cancer, strokes, and dementia.

She was born on May 13, 1942, in Lyons, Kansas, the daughter of Claud and Alberta (Weese) Kinney.

On February 5, 1960, Marilyn was united in marriage to Gary Holler in McPherson. Together, they shared 66 years of marriage and were blessed with five children: Julie, Jerry, Brad, Brent, and Jamie.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Gary; her children, Julie (Terry) Hite of Fredonia, Kansas, Jerry Holler of Missouri, Brad (Polly) Holler of McPherson, Kansas, Brent (Gina) Holler of McPherson, Kansas, and Jamie Holler of McPherson, Kansas; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and many extended relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Alberta Kinney; her sisters, Claudine Babcock and Mary Crowdes; and three grandsons, Tanner, C.J., and Shane.

Marilyn found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She loved scrapbooking, gardening, sewing, and making handmade greeting cards. She was especially known for her beautifully crafted Christmas stockings, each one taking nearly 30 hours to complete—a true labor of love. Over the years, she also shared her home with many beloved cats and dogs, most recently her cherished chihuahua, Trixie.

Above all, Marilyn will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

A private graveside service will be at Excelsior Cemetery. A public gathering will be held at noon on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Windom Fire Station.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Windom Senior Center in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
