Margaret I. Carlson, 84, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Ascension Via Christi-St. Francis RMC, Wichita.
She was born on May 25, 1941, in Corbin, KY, the daughter of Leonard and Thelma Beckner . Margaret graduated from Riley High School (Riley, KS). On June 7, 1959, she was united in marriage to David B. Pollman in Riley, KS. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1978. Margaret married Harold Lee Carlson on October 1, 1980, in McPherson, KS. He died on August 26, 2015.
Margaret was the co-owner and operator of Mac Cab. She was a member of New Life Foursquare Church and a regular viewer and supporter of the 700 Club.
Survivors include children, Leonard Pollman of McPherson, KS and Shelly Thomas (Marc) of Falun, KS; step-children, Jeri Blile of McPherson, KS, Edna Hardy of Miami, OK, Shaun Carlson (Melissa) of McPherson, KS, and Katrina Hale of Miami, OK; daughter-in-law, Sherry Bryant of Cushing, OK; 15 grandchildren, Rhiannon McKnight, Jesse Pollman, Alyssa Ward, James Pollman, Lora Bryant, Misty Hayes, David Hayes, Aaron Blile, Ashley Blile, Samuel Hale, Jr., John Hale, Harold Hale, Megan Carlson, Paige Carlson, and Timothy Carlson; 14 great-grandchildren; and many extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; step-mother, Thelma; sister, Maddie Rose; son & daughter-in-law, Mike & Connie Quinley; and grandchild, Clarissa Pollman.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 26, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Mike Hiebert officiating.
