Kristine Lee Hoyer, 69, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, KS. She worked in housekeeping at several hotels.

Kristine was born on February 16, 1952, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Norman Allen and Lila Lee (Bowers) Becker. She graduated from McPherson High School. She was united in marriage to Norbert E. Hoyer in Newton, KS. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2003.

In addition to living in McPherson, Kristine also lived in Mississippi and Virginia. She loved cooking and baking. Other enjoyments included traveling, shopping (especially at Walmart and Dillons), gardening, and watching soap operas. She loved all animals, and her favorites included dogs and cats.

Survivors include: her son, Kenneth “Kenny” Becker of McPherson, KS; brother, Dwight (Brenda) Becker of McPherson, KS; uncle, Marion (Phyllis) Becker of McPherson, KS; five nieces & nephews, Tobias (Stephanie) Becker, Jodi (William) Sullivan, Andrew (Lori) Becker, Thomas (Valerie) Becker, and Traci (Phil) Parrish; ten great-nieces & great-nephews; guardian, Tim Buller of McPherson, KS; and many extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Norman & Lila Becker; husband, Norbert Hoyer; and brother, Duane Becker.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, October 4, 2021, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 5, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor John Pattison officiating.
