John Alton

John "J.E." Alton, 79, of The Woodlands, TX and formerly of McPherson, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Houston. He was a retired materials coordinator for a construction company.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 8, at the Andover Lutheran Church, rural Windom. Burial will be in the Andover Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: a son, Lawrence Alton of The Woodlands, TX; two daughters, Letia Grosser of Wharton, TX and Laura Alton of Dallas, TX; a sister, Cleo Lundberg of McPherson; and six grandchildren.
