Jerry Hatcher

Jerry J. Hatcher, 95, of McPherson, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2007, at McPherson Care Center. He was a retired carpenter and handyman and had worked for the City of McPherson at the Sewage Treatment Plant, retiring in 1977.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 5, at the First Christian Church. A luncheon and reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Graveside service with Military Burial Honors will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood, KS. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: his wife, Darlene of the home; a daughter, Carol Powell of Altoona, KS; a brother, John Hatcher of Ellinwood, KS; three step-sons, DeWayne Brown of Vici, OK, John Brown of Woodward, OK, and Ronald Brown of Minnesota; eight step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren, and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, an infant daughter and son, and a step-son.
