Jane Boyce

Jane D. Boyce, 51, of Panama, NE, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012. She was born Dec. 10, 1960, in Grand Junction, CO. Jane was a graduate of McPherson High School.

Following high school, she worked for CertainTeed Corporation as an extruder operator in the vinyl siding department for four and a half years. She was also a home daycare provider and electronics sales associate. Jane was an avid puzzle worker, crossword solver, nature lover and angler. She also enjoyed reading, baking chocolate-chip cookies, and loved following the KU Jayhawks in basketball.

Jane was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church (McPherson), recently transferring her membership to Douglas United Methodist Church (Douglas, NE).

Jane is survived by her loving husband Charles of the home; a daughter, Melissa Robbins (David) of McPherson, KS; grandson, Dallas Ray Boyce of McPherson, KS; a brother, Tom King (Liz) of Atherton, CA; nieces, Sofia and Paulina King, Jerralyn Hunt (Don), Jana Lee Lucke (Jim) and Audrey McCanis (Shawn); canine companions, MoFlint and Jesse; and many other friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Joyce King.

A graveside service and inurnment of cremains will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 15, 2012, at McPherson Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society, Douglas United Methodist Church/Student Ministries, Food Bank of Panama, Nebraska, or Feed the Children International, in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home.
