Helen Whitcher

Helen G. (Mathias) Whitcher, 97, of Salida, CO and formerly of McPherson, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at Columbine Manor Care Center in Salida, CO. She was a homemaker.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 24, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: two daughters, Carol Rodebaugh of Buena Vista, CO and Beverly Ward of Padre Island, TX; two sons, Robert Whitcher of Corder, MO and Gerald Whitcher, of Troup, TX; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Whitcher, two sons, Donald and Hubert Whitcher, and two brothers, Ralph and Frederick Earl Mathias.
