Gregory R. Allen

Gregory Russell Allen, 60, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, surrounded by family at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 5, 1965, in Dallas, TX, the son of Oscar William “Bill” and Connie Sue (Horyna) Allen. Greg attended the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, KS, where he enjoyed playing on the football team. On April 10, 2010, Greg was united in marriage to Audrey Lynn Simmons in McPherson.

Greg worked at Walmart for 23 years, mostly in the shipping & receiving and maintenance department.

Survivors include his loving wife, Audrey Allen of the home; mother, Connie Allen of McPherson, KS; sister, Sonya Moon of McPherson, KS; brother, Eric Allen of McPherson, KS; a niece and nephew, Savannah Moon and Avery Moon; three step-children; five step-grandchildren; and many additional nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, an uncle, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Allen, and brother-in-law, Billy Joe Moon.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 23, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
