Elmer Sorenson

L. Elmer Sorenson, 90, of McPherson passed away Thursday, November 17, 2005, at Lakeside Home Care, McPherson. He was a co-owner of United Dairies, retiring in 1972, and later worked for CertainTeed Corporation as a security guard until 1989.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, Nov. 21, at the McPherson Free Methodist Church. Burial, with Military Honors, will take place in McPherson Cemetery prior to the memorial service. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family present from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

Survivors include: his wife, Joy of the home; two sons, Carl Sorenson of McPherson and Dennis Sorenson of Seal Beach, CA; a daughter, Karen Joy of Round Rock, TX; a sister, Myrtle Smith of Savoy, IL; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
