Ellen Hilgenfeld

Ellen May (Johnson) Hilgenfeld, 92, of McPherson died Friday, December 9, 2005, at her home in McPherson. She was a homemaker, farmer, and also worked at Prairie Gardens in McPherson.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery, with Fraternal Rites by the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: a daughter, Arnelle McNary of Lenexa, KS; a son, Kenneth Hilgenfeld of Stafford, KS; a daughter-in-law, Edna Hilgenfeld of McPherson, KS; a caregiver, Jennifer Allmon of McPherson; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Fred; four brothers, Earl, Leslie, Duke, and Lowell; and and two sisters, Irene Sellberg and Mildred Bamforth.
