Edith Marie Hatton, 81, of McPherson, KS and formerly of Dodge City, KS, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS.
Edith was born on April 13, 1943, in Dodge City, KS, the daughter of Lawrence George and Loretto Margaret (Downey) Conrardy. She graduated from St. Mary of the Plains High School and Wilcox Beauty Academy, both in Dodge City. On June 15, 1974, Edith was united in marriage to Eugene Hatton in Wright, KS. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1992.
She lived in Dodge City most of her life and was a licensed cosmetologist, owning & operating five different hair salons in Dodge City. She also served four years on the Kansas State Board of Cosmetology.
Survivors include four siblings, Francis (Susan) Conrardy of Lodi, CA, Paul (Peggy) Conrardy of Meade, KS, Mark (Earline) Conrardy of Dodge City, KS, and Mary Ann Conrardy of McPherson, KS; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and great-great-nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Patricia Ashline, Judy Sexson, Sister Marietta Conrardy, CSJ, Larry Conrardy, and Martin Conrardy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 11798 Jewell Road, Wright, KS 67882. Father Ted Stoecklein will be the Celebrant. The final resting place will be at the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Wright, KS.
