Drake S. Johnson

Drake Stephen Johnson, 34, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

He was born on January 5, 1992, in Olathe, KS, the son of Drew Edward and Renee Diane (DeGarmo) Johnson. Drake graduated from McPherson High School in 2010. He formerly worked at Pfizer and was currently employed at Cargill in Hutchinson.

Drake enjoyed being outdoors, whether fishing, camping, or spending time in nature. He was creative and talented with his hands. Drake had many friends that loved his fun personality. Most of all, Drake loved spending time with his beautiful daughter.

He is survived by his parents, Drew and Renee Johnson of Hesston, KS; daughter, Mila Johnson of Salina, KS; sister, Erica Weiser (Leneal) and their children, Shay and Brody, of Olathe, KS; grandmother, Sally DeGarmo of Wellsville, KS; and many extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jay DeGarmo, Leon Johnson, Jr., and Bobbie Joyce Johnson.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM, Friday, June 5, 2026, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 5, at McPherson Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations payable to The Omega Project, which may be sent in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home.
