Delbert Murphy

Delbert C. Murphy, 89, of McPherson, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. He was a carpenter and road construction worker.

Mr. Murphy was a member of First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #172.

A private family inurnment service will take place at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence at a later date. There will be no visitation.

Survivors include: two daughters, and five sons including Lawrence "Butch" Murphy of Geneseo, KS; a sister, Lois Ann Vining of Westmoreland, KS; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James "Junior" Murphy.
