Cindy A. Cheek

Cynthia A. “Cindy” Cheek, 67, of McPherson, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at Salina Regional Health Center. She was a retired Registered Nurse and had worked at McPherson Hospital and Hospice House in Hutchinson during her career.

She was born October 31, 1958, in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of James E. and Sandra J. (Fliginger) Blasdel. Cindy attended McPherson schools and graduated from McPherson High School. She went on to study at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina and obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Greenville Tech in Greenville, South Carolina.

On April 15, 2000, she was united in marriage to Matthew W. Cheek. They were blessed with 25 years together. She thrived in being a wife. The love they shared was what most hoped for. Through raising children, health issues, and life in general, her greatest accomplishment was being a wife, mom and grandma.

She loved Jesus and sharing her faith with everyone, especially her five grandchildren. She enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, reading, and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and making memories with them. She will be missed greatly.

Survivors include: her husband, Matthew of the home; two daughters, Cassandra (Cassie) Moseley of McPherson, KS and Ashley Moseley of Bluffton, SC; parents, Jim & Sandy Blasdel of Dalton, NE; a sister, Robin Devier (Rod) of Dalton, NE; and five grandchildren, Rylen, Brynlee, Paizlee, Trace, and Kellan.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 30, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
