Claudia Jean (Frantz) Law, 76, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at her home at Angel Arms Residential Care Facility.
Claudia was born on February 16, 1949, in Davenport, Nebraska, the beloved daughter of Merlin and ImoJean Frantz. She grew up surrounded by love, learning, and faith—foundations that shaped the generous, kind, and creative woman so many came to know and love. She graduated from McPherson College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in German.
In June 1988, she expanded her heart and her family by adopting three older children, embracing motherhood with the same tenderness and dedication she poured into every aspect of her life.
Her professional path reflected her deep compassion for others. As office manager at Angel Arms Home Health, Claudia brought warmth, organization, and care to her role, touching the lives of both patients and colleagues alike.
Claudia will be remembered for her generosity, creativity, steadfast faith, and the deep love she gave so freely to family and friends. Her legacy lives on in every quilt she stitched, every recipe she shared, every Christmas stocking she knitted, and every life she touched.
Claudia was a proud member and past president of P.E.O. Chapter AY and served as a devoted member of the Ladies Reading Circle and the McPherson Church of the Brethren. Through these organizations, she forged lifelong friendships and championed the values of education, service, and fellowship.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Erin) Law, Dena (Jon) Law, and Elizabeth (Nicholas) MacDonald; her beloved sisters, Lynne (Dan) Lichty and Dawnelle Adcock; her six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, Merlin and ImoJean Frantz.
A celebration of Claudia’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (come & go) in the Grand Ballroom of the McPherson Opera House, 219 S. Main St., McPherson, KS 67460. In honor of Claudia’s love for color and nature, guests are invited to wear purple and/or floral prints.
Memorial contributions may be made to McPherson College in support of the Merlin and ImoJean Frantz Scholarship, or to Angel Arms Residential Care Facility, in appreciation of their compassionate care, both in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
Claudia’s family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Angel Arms, her many friends, and the organizations that enriched her life with community, love, and support.
