Clarence “C Dub / Dubber” Wayne Reiman, 74, of McPherson, KS, and formerly of Abilene, KS, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, surrounded by family at his home.

C.W. was born on July 15, 1951, in Great Bend, KS, the son of Gerald “Red” Bernard and Bessie Irene (Ruark) Reiman. He graduated from Hays High School in 1969 and attended Fort Hays State University.

He was a retired maintenance technician for Wendy’s restaurants.

C.W. enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and one of the most cherished moments of his life was the birth of his grandson. He shared a special companionship with Barb Schmidt. Together they co-owned their beloved dogs, Pepper and Annie, and enjoyed traveling and fishing. C.W. had a special fondness for dogs and was known to carry dog treats in his pocket wherever he went.

Golfing and bowling were among his favorite pastimes, and through both, he formed many lasting friendships. C.W. was an accomplished bowler, winning numerous tournaments far and wide. He bowled a couple of perfect games and many others that came very close. He was also an avid baseball fan and a passionate baseball card collector. C.W. enjoyed buying and selling cards as he worked to build his collection and took great pride in eventually passing his extensive baseball card collection on to his grandson. One of C.W.’s favorite traditions was traveling each summer with his grandson to visit a new ballpark.

Most everyone who knew C.W. has a fond or funny memory of him. He was a loyal friend to many, and Barney Crutchfield was a particularly special friend and mentor in his life.

C.W. was a member of American Legion Post #24 and V.F.W. Post #2715.

Survivors include his daughter, Kelsey McPherson (Wade) of Hereford, TX; siblings, Tonnie Davis of Russell, KS, Gary Reiman of McPherson, KS, and Jerry Reiman (Dawn) of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Zae and Kade McPherson; and many extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and longtime companion, Barb Schmidt.
