Chester Johnson

Chester D. Johnson, 80, of McPherson, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was retired and had worked for Casebeer Supply and Copeland Supply in McPherson as a metal shear operator.

Chester was born on April 11, 1930, in Leonardville, Kansas, the son of John A. and Amanda (Yoder) Johnson.

The graveside service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 2, 2010, at Crestwood Memorial Park, McPherson with Rev. Richard Skar officiating. Visitation is from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include: sisters, Rosalie Walker of Portland, OR and Claryce Johnson of McPherson, KS; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Amanda (Yoder) Johnson and a sister, Lucille Newlan.
