Carol Anne Fishburn

Carol Anne Fishburn, 80, of McPherson, KS, and formerly of Larned, KS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was a retired Registered Nurse, working at St. Joseph Hospital, Larned and Larned State Hospital.

Carol was born on November 17, 1940, in Medicine Lodge, KS, the daughter of Louis and Edna Martha (Warner) Suhler. She graduated from Larned High School in 1958 and received a BSN from Fort Hays Kansas State College. Carol was united in marriage to Leon Ray Fishburn on November 9, 1963, in Larned.

Survivors include: her husband, Leon of the home; three children, Sidne R. Erwin (Chance) of Stephenville, TX, Lee Michael Fishburn of McPherson, KS, and Steven Fishburn (Karyn) of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren, Harley Anne Burns, Justin Leon Burns, Cooper Grant Erwin, Kyle Manuel Fishburn, and Connor Leon Fishburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sonja Kay Suhler.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
