Bryan Paul “Slick” Dunlap, 72, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, surrounded by family at McPherson Hospital.

Bryan was born on June 22, 1954, in Abilene, Kansas, the son of Alice Marie (Maynhart) and William Thurston Dunlap, Jr. He graduated from Salina Central High School. On September 2, 2008, he was united in marriage to Angela Kay Bruzda.

Bryan devoted much of his career to the natural gas industry, working for Northern Natural Gas and Enron as an operator. He later worked as a maintenance technician at Johns Manville and Viega in McPherson.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Bryan carried with him the values of dedication, perseverance, and service throughout his life.

Survivors include his loving wife, Angela of the home; siblings, John Dunlap, Bonnie Younie, Judy Pettijohn, Robert “Sonny” Clark, Kris Kuck, Jill Sanchez, and Thomas Westbrook; brother-in-law, Marc Grygier; step-daughter, Kelli Schmidt (Ryan); step-grandchildren, Kennadi & Kaden Schmidt; father/mother-in-law, Larry & Kay Bruzda; numerous nieces & nephews; and extended family, John McManus and Felisha McManus & children.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Grygier.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM at the Newbern Cemetery (797 1500 Ave., Abilene, KS 67410).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Grace Bible Church, McPherson, in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
