Wayne Dean Koehn, 72, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River. He was an Amsoil Distributer and owned and operated an automotive repair shop.

Wayne was born on November 24, 1947, in McPherson, KS, the son of Henry and Lenora (Unruh) Koehn. He lived in McPherson County all of his life. He was an 8th grade graduate of Elyria School, having attended Harmony school the first four grades. Wayne was united in marriage to RLou Holm on June 18, 1966. He later married Cynthia “Cindy” Ann McQuilliam on May 20, 1972, in Lyons, KS. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2014.

Wayne served in the Army National Guard and was a Vietnam War veteran.

He was a member of Countryside Covenant Church, the Christian Motorcycle Association, American Legion Post #24, and American Legion Riders Chapter #24.

Survivors include: brothers, Lewellyn Koehn and wife, Linda, of Little River/McPherson, KS and Lynn Koehn and wife, Vickie, of Grafton, ND; sister, Avanell Hines and husband, Denny, of Galva, KS; sixteen nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews; and three great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lenora Koehn; step-father, Jessie Koehn; wife, Cynthia Koehn; and son, Darrin Koehn.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 4, at Countryside Covenant Church with Rev. Jon Black and Rev. Jeremy Bower officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
