Wanda E. Morris, 85, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center, Wichita. She worked as a bookkeeper for KNGL-KBBE Radio in McPherson.

She was born on April 21, 1929, in Reno County, Kansas, the daughter of Harvey H. and Ritta A. (Vetter) Alumbaugh. She graduated from Nickerson High School in 1947. On August 14, 1948, she was united in marriage to Dwight Theo Morris in Hutchinson, KS. He preceded her in death on August 23, 1988.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Shalom Sunday School Class, and sang in the church choir since 1988.

Survivors include: sons, Robert “Bob” Morris of McPherson, Larry Morris (Tracey) of McPherson, and Mark Morris of McPherson; daughters, Sharon Rogers of McPherson and Carol Burch of McPherson; brother, Harvey H. Alumbaugh, Jr. of Mendota, IL; sister, Patricia Falke of Hutchinson, KS; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Darrel Alumbaugh, and sisters, Pauline Giesel, Eulla Belle Williams, and Ritta Jean Stiles.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 18, 2014, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Andrew Currier officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
