Karen Kay Gaylor, 73, of Little River, KS, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Rice County District Hospital, Lyons, KS. She was a homemaker and worked at Motorola in Phoenix, AZ.

Karen was born on July 24, 1942, in Gordon, Nebraska, the daughter of Melvin Willis and Elfretta Evelyn (Spencer) Henderson. She attended Gypsum High School.

On November 23, 1957, Karen was united in marriage to Phillip Leo Gaylor in Salina, KS. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1987.

Survivors include: her children, Charles D. Gaylor of Little River, KS, Charlotte M. Nixon of Phoenix, AZ, Joseph W. Gaylor (Joyce) of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel L. Gaylor (Dana Clifford) of Little River, KS, Lynnette Y. Gaylor (Kevin Hightower) of Little River, KS, and Jerome Gaylor (Nicole) of Little River, KS; sisters, Bette Tillett of McPherson, KS and Jo Mae Shaw of Lindsborg, KS; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Myra McNabb, LaVern “Buck” Henderson, Patricia McCurdy, Melvin “Mac” Henderson, and Diana Fowler.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the Little River Congregational Church.
