John C. Glenn

John Calvin Glenn, 60, of Inman, KS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2019, surrounded by family at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was a General Supervisor at Johns Manville, McPherson, where he had worked for 19 years.

John was born on September 5, 1959, in Topeka, KS, the son of Calvin M. and Frances (Taylor) Glenn. He graduated from Hayden High School (Topeka) in 1977 and from Salina Area Vocational Technical School. John was united in marriage to Laurie J. Neufeld on June 11, 1983, in Inman, KS.

He was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church and a volunteer for Boy Scout Troop #107, both of Inman.

Survivors include: his wife, Laurie of the home; son, Taylor Glenn of Inman, KS; daughter, Taryn Glenn of Wichita, KS; father, Calvin Glenn of Topeka, KS; siblings, Linda Jett of Ordway, CO, Cindy Applehanz (Mike) of Topeka, KS; Bill Glenn (Patricia) of Georgia, and Annie Johnson (Dale) of Ordway, CO; father-in-law, Walt Neufeld of Inman, KS; and other extended family and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Glenn, mother-in-law, Helen Ann Neufeld, and infant son, Connor Glenn.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 31, 2019, at Bethel Mennonite Church, Inman. The Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, November 1, at Bethel Mennonite Church with Rev. Bob Yates officiating.
