Jeanette Hodson

Jeanette M. Hodson, 68, of McPherson, died Saturday, September 2, 2006, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson.

She was the daughter of John McCoy and Clara Myrtle (Damon) Parsons and was born May 24, 1938, at Clarkston, Washington. On June 12, 1958, she was united in marriage to George W. Hodson at Clarkston, WA. She had lived in McPherson since 1994, formerly of Taylor, NE and Clarkston, WA.

She was a registered nurse and had worked for The Cedars in McPherson for the past seven years. She had previously worked at Memorial Hospital, McPherson.

Jeanette graduated from Central Christian Academy (McPherson) in 1956, attended Central College in McPherson, and graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, ID in 1973. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Christian Women's Fellowship, and Gideons Auxiliary, all of McPherson.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at the Free Methodist Church, McPherson. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: her husband, George of the home; a son, George W. "Joe" Hodson, Jr. of Omaha, NE; daughters, Valerie Nelson of McPherson and Carrie Hodson of McPherson; brothers, Graeson Parsons of Clarkston, WA Quinten Parsons of Clarkston, WA, and Steven Parsons of Seaside, OR; sister, Bethene Reiman of Boise, ID; and seven grandchildren.
