James “Jim” Lee Anderson, 89, of McPherson, KS and formerly of Liberal, KS, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Glen Carr House Memory Care in Derby, KS. He was the owner and operator of Jim Anderson Oilfield Service and Alpha Services and Production.

Jim was born on February 17, 1932, in McPherson County, KS, the son of Myron Carl and Helen Leona (Ek) Anderson. He graduated from McPherson High School in 1950. On December 9, 1951, Jim was united in marriage to Marilyn I. Love at the First Baptist Church in McPherson.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was an ordained deacon, Sunday school teacher, and devoted servant.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 69 years, Marilyn of the home; four children, Pamela Kliewer of Haslett, MI, Mark Anderson (Virginia) of Wichita, KS, Lesa Okins of Roanoke, VA, and Neal Anderson of Winter Garden, FL; a brother, Randolph Anderson (Donna) of Hutchinson, KS; eight grandchildren, Christopher Kliewer, Matthew Anderson (Martha), Candice Anderson, Shanna Bartel, Becky Bartel, Kaitlyn Witt, Ryan Anderson, and Evan Anderson; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 1, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Pattison officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
