Dallas Carlson

Dallas Clayton Carlson, 84, of Rogers, Arkansas, died Thursday, December 15, 2005, at St. Mary's Rogers Memorial Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born April 4, 1921, in McPherson County, Kansas, the son of Inez Selberg and Clarence Hugo Carlson.

He proudly served his country during World War II, in the United States Army, serving in the South Pacific.

On November 24, 1946, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Baldwin at Manhattan, KS.

Mr. Carlson graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked for over 20 years at Cudahy Packing in Wichita, Kansas. He then came to Northwest Arkansas in 1970, where he was employed and later retired from Tyson Foods Inc. in Springdale, after over 20 years of service in Industrial Management.

He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed fishing, boating, and gardening. He was also an avid golfer and a 32nd Degree Mason in Wichita, Kansas.

He is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Carlson, of the home; two sons, Darrel Carlson and his wife, Terri, of Grand Junction, Colorado, D. Keith Carlson and his wife, Anna, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three brothers, Alan Carlson and his wife, Dorothe, of Denver, Colorado, Emory Carlson and his wife, Helen, of Dalavan, Wisconsin, Charles Carlson and his wife, Frances, of Lenexa, Kansas; a sister; Marilyn Murphy and her husband, Harlan, of Savonberg, Kansas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral Service will be Monday, December 19, 2005, at 2:00 PM at Stockdale Funeral Services, in Rogers, Arkansas. A second service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, at 2:00 PM at Stockham Family Funeral Home in McPherson, KS. Burial will be McPherson Cemetery.

All Arkansas arrangements were made under the direction of Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers, Arkansas. All Kansas arrangements were made under the direction of Stockham Family Funeral Home of McPherson, Kansas.
