Carolyn R. Gibson, 79, of Lindsborg, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2019, at her home in Lindsborg. She was a bookkeeper and office manager for the accounting firm of Seely, Mullins, & Associates where she had worked for 20 years.

Carolyn was born on August 17, 1940, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Clarence Henry and Ruth Lorraine (Colwell) Russell. She graduated from Glendale Community College in Glendale, AZ. Carolyn was united in marriage to Thurlow “Butch” P. Gibson on July 29, 1978, in Las Vegas, NV.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, where she served as the financial secretary. She was also a member of the Lindsborg Hospital Auxiliary and a 50+ year member of Felicity Chapter #371 – Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include: her husband, Butch of the home; son, Douglas Scott (Marcella) of Alice, TX; daughter, Jacquelynn Saban (Mike Burkhart) of Phoenix, AZ; step-daughter, Stephanie Radwanski (Eddie) of Clemson, SC; six grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Clarice Jeannine Eberspacher; and daughter, Brenda Pennington.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, October 21, 2019, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, with Pastor Jim Strasen officiating.
