Arnold Ray Ratzlaff

Arnold Ray Ratzlaff, 73, of Moundridge, KS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, surrounded by family at his home near Moundridge. He worked at a variety of jobs during his lifetime including Excel Manufacturing, dairy farmer, Norcraft cabinet factory, night watchman at Agco, and the last several years as a carry-out at the Newton Dillon’s grocery store.

Arnold was born on April 20, 1945, to Dan and Esther (Schmidt) Ratzlaff at Goessel, KS. He received his formal education at the Spring Valley School. He was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite on February 13, 1959. On August 5, 1973, Arnold was married to Carol Unruh.

Survivors include: his wife, Carol; two sons, Greg (Alisha) Ratzlaff of Galva, KS and Tim (Tammy) Ratzlaff of Moundridge, KS; two daughters, Teresa (Anthony) Troyer of Galva, KS and Charlotte (Michael) Renno of McVeytown, PA; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Delores (Ronnie) Koehn of Moundridge, KS and Sherry (Steve) Smith of Halstead, KS; and sister-in-law, Mrs. Louis Ratzlaff of Durham, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Duane, parents-in-law, Manno and Dora Unruh, and sister-in-law, Cynthia.

The visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Lone Tree Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Galva, KS. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 31, at Lone Tree Church of God in Christ, Mennonite with Ministers Roger Unruh, Gary Nightingale, Maurice Wedel, Ty Johnson, and Kevin Unruh presiding. Burial will follow at Lone Tree Cemetery.
