Vivian Woll

Vivian Woll, 90, of McPherson and formerly of Harrison, Arkansas and Santee, California, died Friday, August 10, 2007, at The Cedars in McPherson.

She was born April 21, 1917 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of James B. and Ruth (Gordon) Gurtler. She spent her younger years in McPherson and attended McPherson High School.

She was retired from Convair Aircraft in California where she worked in the accounting department. She also taught international folk dancing for over 40 years.

A private family committal service will be held at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery in Topeka at a later date. There will be no visitation.

Survivors include: a sister, Elsie Norris of McPherson; and five nieces including Marna Goranson of Wichita and Lee Norris of McPherson.

She was preceded in death by a son, David "Butch" Armor and a brother, George Gurtler.
