Virgil Schoen

Virgil A. Schoen, 87, of McPherson, died Sunday, November 4, 2007, at McPherson Care Center. He was retired from Chase Grain Co. where he had worked as elevator operations supervisor. He also worked for KPL Gas Service as a pipe fitter & truck driver for over 20 years.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 8, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at the Bean Cemetery in Little River at a later date. There will be no visitation.

Survivors include: his wife, Marie of the home; four sons, V. Robert Schoen of McPherson, Cecil F. Schoen of Durango, CO, Wayne L. Schoen of McPherson, and Billy D. Schoen of McPherson; two daughters, Rose Von Dreele of Taos, NM and Barbara A. Bickford of McPherson; two sisters, Ruby Williams of Russell, KS and Darlene Nonken of Peabody, KS; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
