Sherry Nobert

Sherry A. Nobert, 61, of McPherson, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at McPherson Hospital. She was a legal secretary for the Law Office of Brett Boyer and most recently worked for SRS as a Child Support Enforcement Agent. She had been a resident of McPherson since 1994, moving from San Diego, California.

She was born October 26, 1950, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Leo and Bessie Mae (Robinson) Mantz. She spent most of her early years in McPherson and graduated from McPherson High School in the class of 1968.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of McPherson, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post #24, and was a loyal San Diego Chargers fan.

Survivors include: daughters, April Michelle Lemm, of McPherson, Shanna Tanner and husband, Scott, of Poway, CA; son, Andrew Nobert of Manhattan, KS; father, Leo Mantz, of McPherson; sisters, Connie Luttig and husband, Ronald, of McPherson, Nancy Hull and husband, Aaron, of Moses Lake, WA, Kim Ishler and husband, Floyd, of Inman, and Jan Shober and husband, Rod, of Inman; four grandchildren, Trevor, Peyton, Mason, and Jaron; and several nieces & nephews.

Sherry was preceded in death by her mother, a brother, Jeff Mantz; and nephews, Mike and Mark Luttig.

The memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Karen Rice Ratzlaff officiating. Private inurnment will take place in McPherson Cemetery at a later date. There will be no visitation.
