Robert Birkes

Robert Wayne "Rob" Birkes, 42, of McPherson died Monday, August 22, 2005, at The Cedars Health Care Center, McPherson.

He was born March 22, 1963, at McPherson, the son of Gary Dean Birkes and Connie (Ibsen) Birkes. He had worked in the oil field pipeline construction business. He attended McPherson High School, Kansas State University, & Southeast Community College at Milford, NE. He was a member of the Andover Lutheran Church in rural Windom, KS.

Survivors include: his mother, Connie Birkes of McPherson; and his brothers, Michael Dean Birkes of McPherson and Christopher Edward Birkes & wife, Nicci, of Roxbury, KS. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Dean Birkes.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Friday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Judith Wascher officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery, rural Windom, KS.
