Perry Morse

Perry F. Morse, 82, of McPherson, died Sunday, November 13, 2005, at Alterra Sterling House, McPherson. He was the son of Orval H. and Anna S. (Finkle) Morse. On March 26, 1948, he married Billie Ann Kubin at McPherson. She passed away Oct. 17, 1980. On July 7, 1984, he married Doris (Crumpacker) Leach at McPherson.He was employed as a crude oil purchaser for NCRA Refinery for 43 years, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, VFW Post #2715, American Legion Post #24, Masonic Lodge #172, volunteered for the Galva Youth Baseball League, and was a former member of the Lions Club and B.P.O.E. #502. He graduated from Galva High School in 1942.

Perry served in the U.S. Army from March 1943 to December 1945. He served in England, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, and Germany for 19 months with the Sixth Armored Division.

Survivors include: his wife, Doris of the home; daughter, Connie Wilson of Wilsonville, NE; son, Ken Morse of Topeka, KS; step-sons, Doug Leach and Dale Leach, both of McPherson; sister, Jimmie McGuire of Colorado Springs, CO; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church, McPherson. Burial will be at the Empire Cemetery, Galva, KS with Military Honors provided by V.F.W. Post #2715 and American Legion Post #24. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
