Mary (Hermosillo) Langfitt, 56, of McPherson, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center, Wichita. She was a homemaker and formerly worked as a CNA at Northview Manor Nursing Home. She had lived in McPherson since 1963, formerly of Ulysses, KS and Granite, OK.

Mary was born on July 28, 1955, in Knox City, TX, the daughter of Genaro and Maria Antonia (Estraca) Hermosillo. On December 28, 1985, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Langfitt in El Paso, TX.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Dwight Birket officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:30 PM, Thursday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Rosary to follow at 7:30 PM. The family will be present from 6:00 PM to the conclusion of the Rosary. Inurnment will be in the Mound Township Cemetery at a later date.

Survivors include: husband, Robert "Bob" of the home; father, Genaro Hermosillo of Oklahoma City, OK; mother, Maria Ontiveros (Emilio) of McPherson, KS; daughters, Julia Ellmore (Shawn) of Felton, DE, Farrah Huff of O'Fallon, MO, and Barb Hermosillo of McPherson, KS; brothers, Gene Hermosillo of McPherson, KS, Joe Hermosillo of Mount Hope, KS, and Jesse Hermosillo of McPherson, KS; sisters, Irma Chaput of McPherson, KS and DiAnn Dayton of Kansas City, KS; grandmother, Dolores Estraca of Granite, OK; and five grandchildren, Chris J. Huff of McPherson, KS, Matt Nelson of Felton, DE, Velvola Harper of Felton, DE, Stasha Hermosillo of McPherson, KS, and Cross Hermosillo of McPherson, KS. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carmen Heckard, grandfather, Jose Maria Estraca, grandmother, Julia Acuna, and grandfather, Jose Delaluz Hermosillo.
