Mary Hughes

Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Hughes, 90, died Monday, November 24, 2003, at The Cedars in McPherson. She was a retired Shipping Clerk for Certainteed Corp. and had been a resident of Newton since 2000, formerly of McPherson.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 28, at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Survivors include: two sons, John A. Hughes, Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas and Wayne D. Hughes of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a brother, Jack Smith of Spokane, Washington; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in daeth by a brother and four sisters.
