Marna Goranson

Marna K. (Norris) Goranson, 62, of Wichita and formerly of McPherson, died Monday, June 16, 2008, at her home in Wichita. She was a billing clerk at King's Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center and had been a Wichita resident since 1967.

She was born December 1, 1945, in McPherson, the daughter of Howard L. and Elsie (Gurtler) Norris. She graduated from McPherson High School in 1963.

Marna was a member of the Wichita Chorus of the Sweet Adelines International, Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, served on the Board of Directors for the Braille Association of Kansas, and volunteered at Emerson Open Alternative School in Wichita.

Survivors include: two daughters, Amy McCaskey and husband, B.J., of Topeka, KS; and Shelly Snyder and fianc?, Josh Larson, of Wichita, KS; a sister, Lee Norris of Wichita, KS; and five grandchildren. Other survivors include Tom Goranson of Wichita.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sheila Finkle.

The memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 23, at The Grand Chapel, 828 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS. Reception for family and friends will take place immediately following the service. There will be no visitation. Private inurnment service will take place in McPherson Cemetery at a later date.
