Linda J. Becker

Linda Jane Becker, 76, of Bentley, KS and formerly of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Harry Hynes Hospice Center at Via Christi St. Francis RMC, Wichita. Linda had worked as a warehouse supervisor for U.S.D. 418 (Park School Warehouse).

Linda was born on December 11, 1940, in Idaho Falls, ID, the daughter of Donovan and Ruby (Sperry) Swank. She graduated from Mount Hope High School in 1959 and attended Hutchinson Community College. On September 10, 1984, Linda was united in marriage to Glenn D. Becker in Pueblo, CO. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2000.

She was active in several sewing and quilting clubs.

Survivors include: two sons, Dan Bliss (Robin) of Bentley, KS and Clifford Bliss of Bentley, KS; two step-sons, Dirk Becker (Brenda Walton) of Great Bend, KS and Dan Becker (Barry Owen) of San Francisco, CA; brother, Roger Swank of Mount Hope, KS; daughter-in-law, Shelly Bliss of Bentley, KS; sister-in-law, Inez Bellin of Mount Hope, KS; nine grandchildren, Kylee Bliss, Travis Bliss, Kenton Bliss, Kassidy Bliss, Sarah Walton, Zackary Schaff, Cody Borden, Austin Borden, and Seth Borden; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many others who called her “Grandma.”

A visitation and time of remembrance will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, November 3, 2017, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, November 4, at Bentley Eagle Senior Center in Bentley, KS.

A private inurnment will be held at McPherson Cemetery.
