Lincoln T. Becker, 92, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at McPherson Hospital. He was a lifetime McPherson County resident and was a building contractor and farmer. He also owned and operated C.M.& S. lumberyard in McPherson.

He was born January 19, 1922 in Galva, Kansas, the son of Tobias B. and Ida (Koehn) Becker. He graduated from Moundridge High School in 1939. On March 18, 1943, he married Martha R. Becker in McPherson.

Lincoln was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Marquette American Legion Post #253, McPherson V.F.W. Post #2715, McPherson Kiwanis Club, S.C.O.R.E., and the Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include: his wife, Martha of the home; two sons, Duane Becker (Reba) of Lindsborg, KS and Daryl Becker (Shari) of McPherson; two daughters, Cheryl Cook of McPherson, KS and Debora Ward (Dave) of Drumright, OK; two sisters, Rozella Chapman of McPherson, KS and Betty Carlson of McPherson, KS; six grandchildren, Matt Ward (Kristen), Kyle Ward (Theresa), Toby Becker, Megan Sweeney (Brian), Melinda Guerrero (James), and Luke Sanders; five great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Allen Becker.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 8, at the First Baptist Church, McPherson. Burial with military honors will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at McPherson Cemetery (prior to the memorial service). Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
