George Hardin

George E. Hardin, 76, of Wichita, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2009, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. George was born on June 1, 1932, in Arnold, Nebraska, the son of Homer Ralston and Martha Jane (Yeadon) Hardin. He graduated from high school in Arnold, Nebraska and attended college in Lincoln, Nebraska and Wichita State University, where he received his Bachelor Degree. On December 24, 1955, he was united in marriage to Laura M. Suesz. He was a Mechanical Engineer for Boeing for 42 years, retiring in 1993.

He was a long time member of the Wichita Engineering Association (WEA) and East Heights United Methodist Church, Wichita.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family present during this time.

Survivors include: his daughters, Cindy Tillman and husband, Mike, of McPherson, Kansas and Martha Howell and husband, Robert, of Coats, Kansas; brothers, John Hardin of Castle Rock, Colorado and Don Hardin of Arnold, Nebraska; and seven grandchildren, Jaclyn Gifford and husband, Chris, Blake Tillman, Leslie Ann Hardin, Ashton Howell, Alayna Howell, Audra Howell, and Sam Howell. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Eric B. Hardin.
